DUTIES

The Plains Township Recreation Board maintains five parks and playgrounds throughout the municipality. These parks and playgrounds offer facilities for soccer, softball, tennis as well as playground equipment.  The main Municipal Park has one of the only handicap-usable playgrounds in the area and is also home to the Plains Lion Pavilion.

The Pavilion at the Main Municipal Park was donated and constructed by the Plains Lions Club and features kitchen facilities as well as a large covered seating area.  It is rented to numerous clubs and individuals for a variety of events.  It is highly sought after and reservations fill quickly. Pavilion Rental forms can be found on our forms page and in the hallway of the Municipal building on Main Street.
